Arsenal Give International Star Green Light To Leave But Frustrate Italian Giants With Terms Of Transfer, Besiktas Also In Talks

Besiktas face competition from Italian giants Napoli for Arsenal keeper David Ospina according to Sky Sports Italy.

Napoli are looking for a new keeper after summer signing Alex Meret fractured his arm.

Meret is out for the foreseeable future, forcing the Serie A outfit to find a third-choice keeper.

The Serie A outfit are keen on a loan deal but the Gunners want to sell the Colombian international.

Napoli are prepared to loan Ospina with an option to buy but it would leave the keeper in the same situation he faces at Arsenal.

The reason the 29-year-old is keen on leaving the North London outfit is that he has dropped down the pecking order behind Bernd Leno and Petr Cech.

Besiktas meanwhile are willing to give the Colombian international a first-choice role in the side.

Sources close to the club have informed Turkish-Football that the Black Eagles remain interested in the keeper despite recent reports they have abandoned attempts to sign Ospina.

Besiktas want the keeper on loan or for a cut-price transfer fee.

The club are waiting for the future of Domagoj Vida to be determined.

Should the World Cup finalist end up being sold to a Premier League side before the end of the transfer window, Besiktas will almost certainly reinvest part of the fee into new transfers with Ospina currently a priority.
