Arsenal Reach Agreement Over Summer Transfer But One Detail Remains To Be Sorted With Super Lig Club

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is edging closer to a move to Besiktas.

Turkish-Football reported that the Black Eagles agreed personal terms with Ospina following the club president Fikret Orman and the transfer committee traveling to London for transfer talks.

The Super Lig outfit returned to Turkey having failed to strike a deal with Arsenal.

The Gunners are keen on a permanent deal while Besiktas would prefer a loan move.

Turkish state radio and television sports director Firat Gunayer who has close ties to Besiktas followed up the story with a report that an agreement has now beach reached with Arsenal over a loan move.

All that remains is for the buyout clause option to be agreed.

Besiktas have made signing a keeper a priority after parting with Fabri who joined Fulham on a £5.3m move.

Ospina meanwhile is keen on the move after dropping into third place in the pecking order at Arsenal behind Bernd Leno and Petr Cech.

The Colombian international does have another two-years remaining on his contract giving Arsenal options next season if they do agree to loan him.

Besiktas would offer Ospina a first-team role which could give him the chance to put himself back on the map.
