Liverpool Ace Waiting For Offer From Italy As He Considers Anfield Future, Super Lig Move Cast Into Doubt

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has been closely linked with a summer exit after dropping down the pecking order behind Alisson Becker and Karius.

Italian giants Napoli have joined Besiktas in the race for the Belgium international.

It appears that the Serie A outfit are ahead in the race for the keeper following injury to first-choice star.

Liverpool have been asking for £12m for Mignolet but have yet to find a club willing to match his valuation according to the Echo.

Besiktas want the keeper on loan but his agent seems more keen on a move to Italy.

Mignolet’s agent Nico Vaesen, has said that they are waiting for Napoli to make an offer.

Vaesen told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: “We will wait over the next few days to see if they will present an offer.

“Considering that the market will close in a few days, I imagine that we will have to do it soon if we want to make a deal everyone will agree to.”

The Partenopei have previously been linked the Reds ace, with Vaesen adding: “The interest is not new. Napoli like Mignolet.

“They have previously enquired about his availability in other transfer windows. This will not be the last word on a move to them.”

Besiktas would be able to offer a first-team role for the keeper and are currently in the market for a replacement for Fabri who joined Fulham on a £5.3m move last month.
