Galatasaray are in talks with Everton striker Oumar Niasse over a potential summer move according to the Fanatik.

The Turkish sports newspaper claims that the Lions have been in contract with the Senegal international for some time now.

The reigning Super Lig champions are preparing for Bafetimbi Gomis leaving.

Gomis has fallen out of favour at Galatasaray over recent weeks and the board have been trying to sell him abroad.

The Lions are however, running out of time to conclude their transfer business.

The club would have to sell Gomis before 1 September and complete the signing of Niasse.

Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim is reportedly keen on signing Niasse. The Yellow-Reds would be able to offer Champions League football this season if he were to make the move.

The striker faces the prospect of limited playing time at Everton this season with Cenk Tosun ahead of him in the pecking order.

Turkish-Football asked Galatasaray for a comment regarding the latest transfer rumors.

The club would not confirm whether Niasse was a target but did admit they plan to bring in an additional forward.

Galatasaray would however, only be prepared to loan in a player. Despite receiving a windfall in Champions League revenues following the exit of Fenerbahce from the Third Round of the competition the club remain careful not to break their Financial Fair Play agreement – which could result in suspension from European competition.

Everton signed Niasse on a £13.5m [BBC] move from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2016 but he is no stranger to Turkish football.

The 27-year-old previously played for current Turkish Cup and Super Cup champions Akhisar.
