Liverpool keeper Loris Karius is on the verge of a loan move to Besiktas.
The Mirror report that Besiktas will pay Liverpool a £2.25 million fee for a two-year loan deal.
The fee will rise to £10 million if the Black Eagles opt to make the deal permanent.
Sources close to Besiktas have revealed to Turkish-Football that they expect to announce the loan transfer before the end of the week.
With Karius close to an Anfield exit we took a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to the latest developments on social media.

Liverpool fans, in general, seem quite supportive of Karius and wished him all the best of luck if he does end up completing the move.
A young goalkeeper who attracted a lot of interest during his time in the Bundesliga, wish Karius nothing but the best with Besiktas. Smash it and regain your confidence, @LorisKarius.

Best of luck to Karius. He needs a change of scenery I still think he will turn out to be a very good keeper.

Speaks volumes as to just how Mignolet is thought of in world football if Karius was able to engineer a move for himself this summer and nobody wanted a piece of the Belgian.

Hope Loris Karius can rediscover his confidence at Besiktas and the attributes that prompted Man City to make a big pitch for him at 15, which saw him then go on to record just under a century of Bundesliga appearances, and which ultimately attracted #LFC to the German.

Karius move makes sense for all parties. Needs the opportunity to rebuild his confidence elsewhere without the pressure that comes with LFC. Best of luck @LorisKarius.

There are only two goalkeepers in the PL to have ever started a UEFA Champions League final. Cech, and Karius. Just because the world handpicks the game they want to see, his errors were highlighted. He had a great season otherwise. Thanks for the service @LorisKarius pic.twitter.com/bbQIjFXQpc

If you’re kicking Karius on his way out the door, please feel free to see yourself out, too

“Unrecognisable” was a word used a few months ago by a Mainz staffer to describe Karius’ goalkeeping. From suffering a broken bone in his right hand vs Chelsea in July 2016 to Kiev and its aftermath, it’s been a really challenging two years for him. A comeback story would be nice

If Loris Karius can regain his confidence at Beşiktaş then they are getting a very good Goalkeeper #YNWA pic.twitter.com/Iy6OibUqpn

Hope Karius does well at Besiktas

Good deal for all involved. Besiktas in desperate need of a keeper and Karius in desperate need of playing time/confidence boost. Think he will be a good signing. People forget Karius was decent before his UCL final howler //t.co/9aKk51YFMt

Dave thinks it is ‘absolutely incredible business’.
Karius to Besiktas on loan (£2.25m loan fee) with a view of a £7.25m permanent deal along with 20% of next sale is absolutely incredible business.

Bit harsh! I actually think Besiktas fans will really get behind him and contrary to popular belief it is a great place for a player to rediscover his confidence.

Loris Karius is a genius – escaping a hostile atmosphere in Liverpool by moving to Turkey.

It was a costly night for LFC and the career of Loris Karius in Kiev. Here’s hoping that Eastern Europe will be a kinder experience for him should his loan deal go through.
