Liverpool Ace Set To Complete Anfield Exit Before End Of Week For Lower Fee Than Reported

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is set to complete his move to Besiktas before the end of the week.

Sources close to Besiktas revealed to Turkish-Football that the club expects the loan move to be completed by the end of the week unless there is a last-minute hitch.

The Black Eagles have agreed personal terms with Karius and have an agreement with Liverpool.

All that remains is the two sides to come to an arrangement over bonuses and the payment structure.

Besiktas would not comment on the loan fee and buyout option when asked about the figures quoted in the Echo report.

The club did state that the final figures will be lower than what is currently being reported.

The Black Eagles are reported to have struck a deal that could see the Reds earn a total of £9.5million for the keeper.

Liverpool agreed to an initial two-year loan with Besiktas who will pay a loan fee of £2.25million.

The report states: “The Black Eagles are obligated to buy the keeper for a further £7.25million in 2020 if certain performance criteria are met.

“These are related to appearances and Besiktas qualifying for Europe.

“Liverpool will also have a 20% sell on clause if the deal becomes permanent.”

Besiktas are in need of a new keeper after parting ways with Fabri who was sold to Fulham for £5.3m last month.

Karius would join as first-choice keeper, pushing Tolga Zengin into second place in the pecking order if the move goes ahead.
