Bursaspor President Ali Ay has revealed why the club has delayed announcing the transfer of Henri Saivet from Newcastle United.
The Senegalese midfielder travelled to Turkey last week to complete his loan move to the Turkish Super Lig side.
However, Saivet was not present during Bursaspor’s goalless draw at home to Kayserispor last weekend
Bursaspor President Ali Ay has revealed that the club are planning a signing ceremony for Saivet which is why the deal has not been officially announced.
“We are planning a signing ceremony for both Henri Saivet and Tunay Torun,” Bursaspor Presidetn Ali Ay told the Turkish outlet Olay.
“It will be a collective signing ceremony.”

Saivet still has three-years remaining on his contract with Newcastle United. Despite joining for the Magpies two summers back, he has made just five league appearances and has been sent out on loan twice.
Bursaspor’s newly appointed manager Samet Aybaba previously coached Saivet last season. The midfielder is no stranger to the Turkish Super Lig after spending the second half of last season on loan with Sivasspor.
