Besiktas fans will relish the idea of getting Liverpool goalkeeper back on his feet as a challenge according to prominent football journalist Mehmet Demirkol.
Demirkol believes the fans will take on the task of rehabilitating Karius as a challenge.
Speaking on the Turkish Super Lig broadcaster’s channel BeIN Turkey, Demirkol revealed his opinion on reports linking Karius with a £10 million move to Besiktas.
“He is going through a tough stage in his career so it is best to look at this as a rehabilitation period,” Demirkol said.
“I think Besiktas fans will stand behind Karius.”
“Besiktas fans will see it as a challenge to get Karius back on his feet.
“They will want to do their part for the team and defend their man, this is something they are very good at doing.”
