Leicester City’s deadline-day signing Caglar Soyuncu has played his first game for the Foxes.
The Turkey international joined Leicester for £19 million from Bundesliga side Freiburg.
Soyuncu has been eased into life at Leicester City and only began training with the squad last week. The 22-year-old has also been recovering from a minor thigh injury.
The powerful centre-back started for Leicester’s u23 side on Monday evening and played the full 90 minutes. The Foxes U23 registered a 4-1 win over Blackburn U23.
According to the Leicester Mercury, Leicester boss Claud Puel was impressed by the Turkey international’s performance.
Per the source, the defender made a number of impressive interceptions and was comfortable with the ball at his feet.
Following an impressive display this week it won’t be too long before Soyuncu makes his senior debut for the club.
Leicester take on an in-form Liverpool FC this weekend as they look to maintain their impressive start to the season.
