Besiktas goalkeeper Loris Karius has stated that he wants to put the nightmare UEFA Champions League final against him.
Karius was Liverpool’s first choice keeper last season however, his stock plummeted after the Champions League final.
The former Germany U21 made two costly errors as Liverpool lost the game 3-0 against Real Madrid.
However, tests later revealed that Karius had suffered a concussion during the final.
Nevertheless, Karius has stated that he wants to put the final behind him.
“If you give the circumstances – with the serious injury as well – that you don’t know in what way it affected me, you have to move on,” Karius told Goal.com.
“It was an unlucky day, but it’s football. I don’t think a lot of players reach a Champions League final. If you look at how many goalkeepers in the league reach a Champions League final, I don’t know. So, it was a great achievement.
“Unfortunately, on this day we were unlucky and it wasn’t the best performance. But there was a lot of things that came together, it’s in the past now and I look forward to the future.”

Besiktas were on the hunt for a new keeper after selling Fabri to Fulham.
Karius has begun training with his new teammates and could make his Besiktas debut this weekend against Bursaspor.
Liverpool meanwhile take on an in-form Leicester City as they look to continue their perfect start to the season.
