Liverpool Keeper Loris Karius Will Be Competing In Europe This Season After Making Besiktas Squad List

Besiktas have announced their squad list for the 2018-19 Europa League group campaign.

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius has made the squad for the Black Eagles alongside keepers Tolga Zengin, Utku Yuvakuran and Ersin Destanoglu.

Karius is currently the first-choice keeper for the Istanbul giants after joining from the Reds over the transfer window.

The 25-year-old made his debut against Bursaspor over the weekend and got off to a good start after making a superb one-on-one stop against Allano.

Karius did however, make an error in the 86ht minute after misjudging a cross which ended up in Bursaspor equalizing.

The game finished 1-1, leaving Besiktas in the 7th place with seven points from a maximum 12.

The Europa League squad also includes Pepe, Domagoj Vida, Ryan Babel, Adam Ljajic, Quaresma, Alvaro Negrego and Jeremain Lens.

One surprise absentee was Canada international Atiba Hutchinson.

The Super Lig outfit will take on Genk, Malmo and Sarpsborg in Group I.
