Bournemouth Made £14m Bid For Defender Linked With Liverpool Summer Move, Turkish Giants Demand £20m For January Transfer

Bournemouth made a £14m offer for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida which was rejected according to the Fanatik newspaper.

Per the source, the Cherries remain keen on Vida and are preparing a January move for the Croatia international.

The Premier League outfit reportedly remain in talks with Besiktas and are keen on adding experience to their defensive line.

Besiktas are demanding £20m from Bournemouth for their star centre-back.

The World Cup finalist was constantly linked with a move to the Premier League over the summer with Liverpool among the most high profile names reported to have expressed an interest.

The Evening Standard reported that the Reds were interested and that Arsenal were considering a £26.9m bid for the defender.

Vida ended up staying at Besiktas despite almost daily reports claiming he would leave.

The 29-year-old is currently the first-choice defensive partner of Pepe in the Besiktas defence and was named in the Europa League group stage squad list.
