Liverpool loanee Loris Karius has been causing a stir with his new female followers in Turkey.

Turkish sports newspaper Fotomac have nicknamed the keeper ‘Casanova’ after his latest exploits on social media.

It all started when social media model Merve Taskin shared a private conversation she had with Karius.

Fashion blogger Melis Ayça Değirmencioğlu then went onto shared a private convo she had with Karius.

Well it was not really a convo… the keeper merely acknowledged her message.

It still managed to get the approval of Turkish popstar Demet Akalin who said Karius suits Melis.

Besiktas’ female fans came out in support of Karius following his debut performance against Bursaspor over the weekend after his mistake resulted in a goal for the Green Crocodiles.

Prominent Turkish football pundit Mehmet Demirkol did recently state that Besiktas’ female fanbase is set to increase following the signing of Karius.

“I expect the number of female fans in the stands to increase,” Demirkol humorously stated on BeIn Sport.

“He is a good goalkeeper, I have no doubt.

“Karius will be joining the right club to rehabilitate his career. I expect the Besiktas fans to show him a lot of support.

“But he will need to get over his self-confidence issues since the Champions League final.”
