Everton forward Henry Onyekuru has stated that his career has taken a step forward after joining Turkish champions Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
The Nigeria international has made an impressive start to his career in Istanbul with two goals in four appearances.
Onyekuru was also called up the national team where he helped Nigeria defeat Seychelles by a 3-0 scoreline.
Speaking to the Nigerian outlet Football Live, Onyekuru stated that he is happy to be at Galatasaray and that he is targeting trophies this season.
“As a striker you need to keep scoring and building your confidence to score,” Onyekuru told Footballlive.ng.
“Every season brings a new target. I want to score goals and help my club win trophies.”
“It’s a new phase and chapter for me in my promising career.”
