Man City Team News: Pep Guardiola facing injury problems ahead of Lyon clash – Gundogan set to feature

Manchester City are back in action on Wednesday night when they take on Lyon on the UEFA Champions League.

The clash will take place at the Etihad Stadium while kick-off is scheduled for 20:00 (GMT).

Man City made it to the quarterfinals last year before being eliminated by Liverpool. The Citizens are unbeaten so far this season and comfortably defeated Fulham by a 3-0 scoreline on Saturday.

Lyon meanwhile were held to a 2-2 draw over the weekend by Caen.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola is facing several injury issues in the leadup to the midweek clash.

Star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is still ruled out while Mangala and Bravo are sidelined with injuries.

Sergio Aguero is a slight doubt due to an ankle problem.

Ilkay Gundogan is expected to feature during against Lyon after being rested for the majority of the clash against Fulham on Saturday.

The 26-year-old has played a part in all of Man City’s games this season.
