Manchester City star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has admitted that he was lucky not to suffer a serious injury during the weekend clash with Cardiff City.
Gundogan was at the wrong end of a poor challenge by Cardiff City’s Joe Ralls during the Citizens 5-0 victory.

Following the final whistle, Gundogan spoke to reporters about the incident. The Germany international stated that he was “lucky” not to suffer a serious injury.
“Yes it’s a little bit sore and it’s quite painful now but I was lucky,” Gundogan told reporters.
“It was yes [a poor challenge], unfortunately. But it’s ok now, it happens.”
