The day after FIFA announced their Best XI for 2018, Spanish outlet Marca has published their 2018 Worst XI.
Unfortunately for Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil, he has featured in Marca’s worst XI for 2018 following a turbulent 12 months.
The 29-year-old failed to impress with Arsenal last season and ended up retiring from international football following Germany’s disastrous World Cup campaign in Russia.
Meanwhile, Ozil’s former teammate Alexis Sanchez also made the side. Unlike Ozil, Sanchez has continued to struggle this season too.
Ozil meanwhile has returned to form in recent weeks with two goals in his last three games. The playmaker played a key role during Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton last weekend.
Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius made the team as well. The 25-year-old joined Besiktas on a two-year loan deal this summer.
Marca Worst XI 2018: Karius, Lindelof, Bonucci, Howedes, Ganso, Bakayoko, Sneijder, Ozil, Alexis, Vietto, Iheanacho

Ozil – who joined Arsenal for £42 million back in 2013 – could feature again tonight when Arsenal take on Brentford in the Carabao Cup.
