Cenk Tosun has made a slow start to his Everton career and could have even returned to Istanbul over the summer.
The Turkey international is yet to score a single goal this season and was dropped by Everton boss Marco Silva over the weekend.
According to Fotomac, Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas made an offer for Tosun over the summer.
Per the source, the Black Eagles tabled a loan-bid for the 27-year-old striker.
However, Everton rejected Besiktas’ offer but haven’t shut the door completely on a deal.
Everton may opt to begin the search for a new striker if Tosun does not return to form in the near future.
Tosun has started five Premier League games for Everton and two for the Turkey national team but is yet to find the back of the net.
