Everton Loanee Henry Onyekuru Makes Nigeria National Team Squad After Impressing For Galatasaray

Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru has made the Nigeria national team squad after impressing in the Super Lig and Champions League for Galatasaray.

The 21-year-old winger has scored two goals in seven league games for the Lions this term.

Onyekuru failed to make the World Cup squad for Nigeria over the summer but has since reclaimed his place in the team.

The young winger joined Galatasaray on a loan deal over the summer after failing to get a work permit to play in England.

Onyekuru will be joined by Bursaspor defender Abdullahi Shehu and Trabzonspor midfielder Ogenyi Onazi from the Super Lig.

Nigeria won their last 2019 Nations Cup qualifier 3-0 against Seychelles in September.

Libya are currently top of Group E on goal difference ahead of South Africa with Nigeria in third place. The top two from the four-team group will qualify for the competition next year.
