Domagoj Vida was send off for handling the ball in the box.
There was Liverpool loanee little Loris Karius could do about the penalty which was converted by Yatabare.
Things almost got worse in the second half when Konyaspor were awarded another penalty but this time Yatabare missed.

Karius made two important saves and coped well with aerial balls putting on a confidence display.
There were rumors that Karius would be dropped after his eventful week.
Karius was heavily criticized and trolled on social media after conceding a calamitous goal in the 2-0 defeat against Malmo mid-week.
The replays showed that the Malmo opener was actually an own goal.

Besiktas managed to mount a miraculous comeback against Konyaspor scoring twice on 79 and 80 mins thanks to Vagner Love and Ryan Babel, respectively.
The drama was not over as Konyaspor scored a dramatic equalizer in the fourth minute of additional time.
There was little Karius could do. Besiktas made a schoolboy mistake failing to put a defender on the post.
Nevertheless, a 2-2 draw away to Konyaspor on the road is by no means a bad result.
Karius conceded twice but he was not to blame for either goal.
The result leaves Besiktas third heading into the international break with reigning champions Galatasaray first, just three points ahead.
