Galatasaray have set their sights on out-of-favour Leicester City striker Shinji Okazaki.
The Istanbul giants are on the hunt for a new striker after offloading their top goalscorer Bafetemi Gomis on transfer deadline day.
According to the daily Turkish sports paper AMK, Galatasaray are preparing a bid for the Japan international forward.
Per the source, the Lions have set aside £1.75 million for Okazaki.
Galatasaray are hoping that Yuuto Nagatomo – who joined on a permanent deal over the summer – can help convince the Leicester forward to make the move to Istanbul.
Okazaki has fallen down the pecking order at Leicester this season and could end up leaving the club for free next summer when his contract expires.
The 32-year-old is yet to start a Premier League game this season and has made six appearances in total.
Leicester City are back in action on Monday, October 22 when they take on an in-form Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
