Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany is being targeted by Galatasaray according to the Hurriyet newspaper.
Per the source, the Lions are preparing a January offer for Kompany who himself wants to leave over the transfer window.
The report claims that the Belgium international has grown frustrated with his lack of playing time and wants a fresh start.
Kompany has played just three Premier League games and made a single appearance in the Champions League.
The 32-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the season and has yet to sign an extension.
Galatasaray do not want to wait until the end of the league campaign to sign the experienced defender and would prefer to pay a small fee and complete the deal in January.
Despite the latest reports emerging from Turkey, Kompany says he is happy at City but did not actually comment on the contract situation.
“First of all, the situation with City is very simple,” Kompany told Mail Online. “I am in a club where I feel so comfortable.
“I have an extremely good relationship with every single member of the club so there is absolutely no need for me to constantly go on about a contract situation. I am in a comfortable situation with good people and we will make the decision when it needs to happen.”
Kompany has achieved legendary status at City winning three Premier League titles.
