Everton winger Henry Onyekuru who is currently on loan at Galatasaray has suffered another injury blow.

Galatasaray confirmed yesterday that the 21-year-old had sustained a hamstring injury while on international duty with Nigeria.

The Lions have since conducted tests and ruled him out of action for at least 4-6 weeks.

Onyekuru will miss the Champions League clash against Schalke next week and most probably the Match Day 4 match against the Bundesliga outfit in Germany and more than likely Match Day 5 against Lokomotiv Moscow.

The rising star may recover in time for the final group game against Porto in Istanbul.

Onyekuru will also miss the Istanbul derby clash against Fenerbahce on 2 November at the Turk Telekom Arena.

The Nigeria international missed the second half of last season out with a knee injury.

Onyekuru did not feature in the World Cup in Russia over the summer as a direct result.

The young winger did not play a single competitive game following the turn of the year until moving to Galatasaray on loan.

The latest injury does not appear to be related to his knee problem.

Galatasaray take on Bursaspor on Friday followed by their Champions League Match Day 3 encounter with Schalke on Wednesday.
