Besiktas take on Goztepe in Izmir on Sunday in the Super Lig hoping to close the gap with league leaders Galatasaray to just one point.
The Black Eagles were four points behind the Lions heading into the game after they were held to a 1-1 draw against Bursaspor.
There were rumours heading into the clash that Liverpool loanee Loris Karius was going to get dropped but he has got the nod in goal.
Fotomac claimed Karius will be dropped in favour of second-choice shot stopper Tolga Zengin who only recently recovered from injury.
The Turkish sports newspaper claimed that head coach Senol Gunes would rest Karius to protect him from criticism following the 2-0 defeat against Malmo.
Zengin has been included in the matchday squad but starts on the bench tonight.
Turkish-Football reported that the Besiktas management and head coach Senol Gunes still have faith in Karius and have been happy with his form.
Karius started his sixth league game for the Black-Whites heading into the Goztepe clash.
The 25-year-old will be hoping to keep his second clean sheet against the Izmir based outfit.
In total Karius has conceded just five goals in five league games this term.
