Arsenal came from behind to beat Leicester City 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Monday night.
Mesut Ozil repaid head coach Unai Emery giving him the captains armband with an outstanding performance.
The playmaker of Turkish origin swapped passes with Hector Bellerin before sending a side-footed shot on the bounce in off the far post.
Ozil was directly involved in substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang’s first goal and saved his best until last with a wonderfully worked attacking move he started on the half-way line before assisting the Gabon international with a first-touch pass with the outside of his foot.

It was perhaps little surprise that Arsenal fans gave Ozil a standing ovation when he was brought off for Aaron Ramsey on 80 minutes.

The victory was Arsenal’s 10th on the bounce, a fitting number for the star of the show, the Gunners No 10, Mesut Ozil.
The North London outfit moved just two points behind league leaders Manchester City following the win.
