Arsenal will be looking to build upon their ten game-winning run when they take on Sporting Lisbon on Thursday night.

The Gunners registered an emphatic 3-1 win over Leicester City on Monday and have won every single game since losing to Chelsea in the Premier League early on in the season.

Sporting Lisbon meanwhile comes into Thursday night’s clash following a 2-1 win over Loures in the Portuguese Cup. The hosts sit fifth in the Portuguese Primeira Liga after seven games.

Arsenal Team News:

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is set to make several changes to his starting eleven. The Spanish tactician will no doubt have one eye on the weekend clash against Crystal Palace.

Emery is facing a selection crisis at left-back after being forced into fielding Stephan Lichtsteiner there over the weekend due to injuries to Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasianc.

The duo are once again unlikely to feature this week due to hamstring injuries.

Meanwhile, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Sokratis and Petr Cech have returned to first-team training this week and are back in contention to feature.

Playmaker Mesut Ozil – who was the star of the show during Monday night’s win – has also traveled with the rest of the squad. The 30-year-old is however unlikely to start for Arsenal on Thursday.
