Liverpool have received a bizarre transfer offer to take back Loris Karius from Besiktas and send Divock Origi in his place according to the Fotomac.

Per the source, the Black Eagles are unhappy with Karius and want to return him to the Reds in January.

The Black Eagles agreed to a two-year loan deal with a buyout clause option for the German keeper and want to continue with the same agreement but for Origi instead of Karius.

Besiktas have made signing a new striker a priority in January but a move of this nature would be highly unusual.

The report goes onto claim that Liverpool chief scout Barry Hunter will complete a report on how Karius has performed and that the club will make a decision on his future.

This is not the first time the sports newspaper have been highly critical of the keeper. The same publication was also responsible for the report that the keeper would be dropped after losing faith with the management.

Origi meanwhile has yet to feature for Liverpool in the Premier League this season.

The Reds have set a £20m valuation for the striker this January according to the Echo.

Besiktas are interested in Origi but would only consider a loan deal, the Istanbul giants will not be able to match the Reds asking price for a permanent move over the winter transfer window.
