Loris Karius could be on his way back to Liverpool in January if the latest reports from Turkey are to be believed.

The Turkish outlet Fotomac has claimed that the Istanbul Giants are far from impressed by the German keeper’s performances since making the move over the summer.

Karius joined Besiktas on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy included.

However, Turkish-Football reached out to Besiktas regarding recent reports regarding Karius.

Sources close to Besiktas have revealed to Turkish-Football that both manager Senol Gunes and the club chiefs do still have faith in the keeper.

Furthuremore, Besiktas are unhappy at the way Karius is being scapegoated by the media for Besiktas’ recent run of form.

Karius has had a mixed record since making the move to Istanbul over the summer. The 25-year-old has kept just one clean sheet and has conceded 14 goals in nine appearances.

The Liverpool loanee was in goal for both of Besiktas’ disappointing defeats in the Europa League to Malmo and Genk.

Karius is once again expected to feature when Besiktas take on league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir on Saturday afternoon.

The Black Eagles are back in action against Genk next week in the Europa League.
