Jose Mourinho’s post-game celebration on Wednesday night has whipped up a storm in the press and over social media.
The Portuguese tactician cupped his ear to Juventus fans following his sides win over the Serie A giants.

Man United staged a late comeback to overturn a 1-0 deficit and end the game as 2-1 victors. The win sees the Red Devils move within two points of Juve and two points clear of Valencia in Group H.
Following the game, Graeme Souness analysed Man United’s performance as a pundit for beIN Sport.
The former Liverpool man slammed Jose Mourinho for his post-game celebration and stated that it could have caused a riot.
However, former Republic of Ireland manager Mick Mccarthy cheekily reminded Souness of the night where he planted a Galatasaray flag in the middle of their bitter rivals Fenerbahce’s pitch.
The moment earned Souness the nickname “Ulubatli Souness” – eluding to a Turkish martyr, who had placed a flag in the siege of Constantinople in 1453 before collapsing after being hit by 27 arrows – among Galatasaray fans.
“He could’ve caused a riot,” Souness stated on beIn Sport.
Mick McCarthy responded by stating “You’ve stuck the flag in the middle of the pitch in Turkey!”
