Liverpool loanee Loris Karius missed the last two Besiktas games but it was not due to being dropped as was widely reported.
Turkish-Football revealed that Karius had in fact picked up a back spasm injury before the 1-1 draw against Genk in the Europa League.
His condition worsened over the next few days forcing him to be left out of the matchday squad against Sivasspor.
Karius has however, made a full recovery and returned to team training.
The 25-year-old has not been called up for international duty so will have plenty of time to get back up to speed.
Karius will not be guaranteed a spot back in the team after the international break.

Besiktas take on Ankaragucu on Saturday 24 November but Tolga Zengin is also in contention for a starting role after getting the nod for the past two-games.
Even if Zengin does start against the Ankara based outfit Karius is likely to start against Galatasaray in the Istanbul derby the following week.
Besiktas are happy with Karius despite reports claiming otherwise and he is still considered first-choice keeper when match fit for the first team.
