Arsenal have been keeping close tabs on Roma starlet Cengiz Under over the course of the season.

Turkish-Football have reported several Premier League sides as being in the race for the Turkey international.

Under himself would be keen on a move to the Premier League were he to leave the Serie A outfit.

Roma are keen to keep the 21-year-old on their books but an offer that matches their £44.5m valuation could be enough to secure a deal.

According to The Sun the transfer of Under to Arsenal could put the future of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in doubt.

Per the source, Under would compete for a place in the starting lineup with Mkhitaryan if he did end up making the move.

The Armenia international has been inconsistent this season scoring just twice in 14 games this term.

Under meanwhile has been in impressive form for the Giallorossi scoring three times and providing five assists in 14 appearances across all competitions.

The winger’s representatives are currently in talks with Roma over negotiating a new contract deal with a pay increase and release clause option.

The rising star is one of the lowest paid members of the current first-team earning around €1m per-season.

The Serie A outfit are reluctant to sell in January but an end of season transfer is looking increasingly likely.
