The bookies have slashed the odds on Mesut Ozil joining Arsenal’s biter rivals Manchester United.
The 29-year-old was previously linked with a move to United back in January however, Ozil opted to pen a mega-money three-year deal with the Gunners.
However, Ozil has failed to cement his place in Unai Emery’s starting eleven this season and has also struggled with injuries.
The former Germany international has missed Arsenal’s last three games due to a back injury which has sparked rumours of a potential Emirates exit.
Man United are now the favourites to sign Ozil from Arsenal, according to the bookmakers. The odds on Ozil moving to Old Trafford have been slashed to 1/2 while Barcelona is a far longer shot at 7/2.
Man City are further behind at 7/1 while Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Inter are further behind at 10/1.
Ozil has a good relationship with Man United boss Jose Mourinho. The pair worked together at Real Madrid where they lifted the La Liga title.
United are expected to make changes to their squad in January following an inconsistent start to their 2018/19 season.
Arsenal returns to action on Thursday evening when they take on Qarabag in the Europa League. Man United meanwhile face Valencia on Wednesday.
