Stuttgart have completed the transfer of Galatasaray defender Ozan Kabak on a €11m move.
The 18-year-old defender signed a 5.5 year contract deal that will be worth €1.8m per-season.
German outlet Kicker [via TZ] reported that Bayern Munich have first option on any future sale for the young defender.
Kabak became the most expensive U20 player to leave Galatasaray as a result of the transfer and the most expensive Turkish player to join a top 5 league from the Super Lig.
Kabak had been targetted by Manchester United who had scouted the young defender since October as confirmed by Turkish-Football.
The Daily Mail reported that United were keen on the Kabak back in December.
Kabak revealed he was delighted to have completed the move to Stuttgart in his first statement after putting pen to paper.
“I am delighted that the transfer went ahead,” Kabak said.
“The club has a great tradition and fanbase. I am a warrior and want to win every game, we are going to rise through the table, I will give my all for the team.”
Galatasaray planned to keep Kabak on until the summer but were unable to reject Stuttgart’s due to their Financial Fair Play commitments.
The young defender is one of the most highly rated players in the league and was one of two Turkish international players that made the UEFA 50 For The Future list.
