Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan managed to predict the exact scoreline in the Liverpool vs Barcelona clash.
Liverpool had been written off after losing the Champions League semi-final first leg 3-0 against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
Gundogan however, never lost faith in the ability of his former manager Jurgen Klopp to pull off a comeback.
The midfielder of Turkish origin said before the game that he could ‘imagine’ Liverpool winning 4-0.
“I’ve already thought about it and somehow I have the feeling that it’s not over yet,” he told DAZN (via TeamTalk ) this week.
“I can even imagine Liverpool winning the game 4-0 at home.
“I don’t know why, but I think that at Anfield, and Klopp as a motivational machine and with the types of players that are very unpleasant to play against, even a team like Barca can be completely shut down in one game.”
Gundogan played under the stewardship of Klopp during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
The 28-year-old lifted the Bundesliga, German Cup, German Super Cup and finished the 2012-13 Champions League as runner-up during his time at the club.
City are currently neck and neck with Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
The Reds will lift the title for the first time in 28 years if they win their final game of the season and if City drop points in their last match.
