Galatasaray Join Rivals Fenerbahce In Race For Max Kruse

Galatasaray have joined the race for German forward Max Kruse according to the Fanatik newspaper.

The Lions are set to rival Fenerbahce for the 31-year-old who is currently a free agent.

Werder Bremen were unable to reach an agreement over a contract extension at the end of the season.

Turkish-Football reported last month that Fenerbahce have been targeting the forward but have been struggling to reach an agreement over his wages.

Liverpool have also been linked with Kruse but only as a squad player to add strength to the team.

Kruse would join as a first-team star player if he were to join either Galatasaray or Fenerbahce.

The Yellow Canaries are in financial trouble and will have to sell players in order to buy to comply with their FFP agreement.

Galatasaray are also under the watch of FFP but have more freedom in the market after winning the league title and booking a place in the Champions League.

Lions boss Fatih Terim is reportedly keen on signing Kruse as a second striker for his four four two system.

Kruse scored 12 times and provided 14 assists in 36 appearances for Werder Bremen in all competitions last season.
