Galatasaray have completed the transfer of former Fulham and Liverpool forward Ryan Babel on a three-year deal.
The experienced forward was a free agent after his agreement with Fulham expired at the of the season.
The Lions released an official statement revealing that Babel has received a £1.79m signing-on fee and that he will earn £2.24m per-season.
Babel revealed that he is delighted to have joined Galatasaray at his signing ceremony.
“This is an interesting transfer. I believe this is how my adventure must continue. I am really happy to be here and hope I can contribute to the team and win trophies here at Galatasaray,” he said.
Babel enjoyed spells at Hoffenheim and Ajax after leaving Liverpool in 2007.
The 32-year-old is no stranger to Turkey having joined Fulham from Besiktas in January and has also previously played at Kasimpasa.
Babel lifted the league title during his spell at Besiktas and established himself as a fan favourite which could make his move to rivals Galatasaray controversial.

In total Babel scored 29 times and provided 12 assists for Besiktas during his time at the Super Lig giants.
After joining Fulham in January he scored five times and providing four assists in 16 appearances.
Babel has won 57 caps for the Netherlands national team, scoring eight times.
