Fenerbahce have contacted Sion about the availability of Pajtim Kasami a source close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football.

Kasami is interested in a possible move should the Yellow Canaries make an official offer.

Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has been informed that the 27-year-old is open to a move to Fenerbahce.

The Swiss international has just 12 months remaining on his contract but the Navy-Yellow Blues are operating on a tight budget this summer due to FFP constraints and would only consider a move for the right price.

Kasami scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 38 appearances for the Swiss side in all competitions last term.

The Switzerland international has never played in Turkey before but is no stranger to playing abroad having enjoyed stints in England, Italy and Greece.

Kasami has 12 international caps for the Switzerland national team.

Fenerbahce have had a busy summer in the transfer market bringing in Max Kruse, Altay Bayindir, Allahyar Sayyadmanesh and Murat Saglam.

The Yellow Canaries finished last season in the sixth place and will not play European competition football next season.

The club is currently in transition following Ali Koc replacing Aziz Yildirim as president after 20 years in charge.
