Fenerbahce have not agreed a deal with Napoli over the transfer of Elif Elmas despite reports from Italy and Turkey claiming otherwise.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Napoli will have to pay a fee of around €15m for the Macedonia international – which will include add-ons – and that Elmas is close to signing.

A source close to Fenerbahce revealed to Turkish-Football that there is currently no deal in place.

The Yellow Canaries rejected Napoli’s previous offer on Tuesday but talks are ongoing.

Napoli have already held talks with Elmas’ representatives over a summer move but until they reach an agreement with Fenerbahce the transfer will not go through.

Fenerbahce value Elmas as being worth a minimum €20m and have another three-years remaining on his contract.

The Yellow-Navy Blues will not budge on their valuation but will sell for the right price as they are under pressure from Financial Fair Play to improve their economic situation.

The central midfielder is best suited to a No 8 or No 10 role and established himself as one of the few players in the Fenerbahce side who impressed last season.

Elmas scored four times in 40 appearances for the Yellow Canaries in all competitions this term.
