Merih Demiral made his debut for Juventus today against Tottenham in the International Champions Cup at the Singapore national stadium in Singapore.

Demiral replaced Rugani at the half-time interval and went onto play 45 minutes.

The 21-year-old initially partnered Leonardo Bonucci until he was replaced by fellow summer arrival de Ligt on 63 minutes.

Demiral put on a confident showing dealing well with aerial balls and making a few important interceptions and tackles.

Tottenham ended up winning the friendly 3-2 with Harry Kane scoring the winner in additional time with a goal from just past the half-way line.

Juventus will face Inter Milan in China next and will have the €18m summer signing available.

Demiral was expected to return to Italy after the game as he had not been granted a visa by the Chinese authorities.

The 1.92m tall defender has now been granted a visa to enter China and will travel with the squad.
