Denizlispor have signed Bakary Sako on a free transfer after he left Crystal Palace as a free agent at the end of June.

The Mali international will play in the Super Lig next season after Denizlispor confirmed his signing on a one-year deal.

The newly-promoted Super Lig side announced the transfer in a Twitter video shared on the popular social media network.

Sako left Roy Hodgson’s Palace side last month after his short-term contract ended.

The Eagles signed Sako in January on a six-month deal after a brief spell in the Championship with West Bromwich Albion.

The 31-year-old played just 25 minutes of Premier League football last term but will more than likely be a regular first-team player for Denizlispor as they prepare for football in the top-flight.

Sako will join fellow Mali international Hadi Sacko at the south-western Anatolian based side who take on Galatasaray at home in their opening back of the season on 17 August.
