Umut Meras bid farewell to Bursaspor fans on his official Instagram account on Tuesday after agreeing a deal in principle with Besiktas.

Turkish-Football can confirm that Meras has struck a deal in principle with the Black Eagles. The transfer has yet to be officially completed which makes Meras’ farewell post slightly puzzling.
Meras thanked Bursaspor fans for their support and underlined that his move to Besiktas will benefit the club economically.
The Green Crocodiles have fallen on hard times financially and were relegated from the Super Lig last season.
The 2009-10 Super Lig champions will play second-tier Turkish football next term.
Meras impressed for Bursaspor last campaign despite the teams fall from grace.
The 23-year-old scored two goals in 27 appearances last term.

Meras was signed by Bursaspor from TFF 1. Lig side Boluspor last summer.
The left-back managed to get himself called up to the Turkey national team where he made his debut on 30 May in the 2-1 victory over Greece.
Besiktas finished last season in 3rd place and will compete in the Europa League next term.
