Turkish-Football reported yesterday that Dervisoglu had struck a deal with Brentford who will pay Sparta a €3m transfer fee.
Dervisoglu could however, end up making his first appearance for Brentford in January instead of this summer due to the terms of the agreement.
The player has agreed terms with Brentford but will not play for the club until the turn of the year.
The 19-year-old forward was highly sought after by Super Lig clubs.
Trabzonspor made Dervisoglu an offer and had been in talks but Brentford managed to clinch a deal with a late swoop.
The U21 Turkey international has four caps for his country but was born in the Netherlands and can also represent his country of birth at senior level.
Dervisoglu will become the first Turkish football to play for Brentford once he completes his move.
The highly-rated young striker featured on Sparta’s opening game of the season in the Eredivisie last week featuring in a 2-2 draw against Feyenoord.
