Trabzonspor were held to a 1-1 draw against Kasimpasa at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium on Sunday 19 August in their opening Super Lig game of the season.

Crystal Palace loanee Alexander Sorloth opened the scoring on 34 minutes charging into the opposition penalty area and finding the bottom corner.

Sorloth has now scored in his first three official games for the Black Sea based side.

The 22-year-old scored on his debut in the Europa League against Sparta Prague in the Europa League Third Qualifying Round first-leg.

He netted again in the second-leg and also scored on his league debut for the Super Lig club.

Sorloth failed to score a single goal for Palace in the Premier League last season but played just 173 minutes in the English top-tier.

The striker is on a two-year loan at Trabzonspor but if he plays in over 50 percent of games this season the club have a €6m obligation to buy on a permanent deal.

John Obi Mikel also made his league debut for Trabzonspor but ended up scoring an own goal.

Trabzonspor will take on AEK next in the Europa League playoff in Greece on Thursday before their first home league game against Malatyaspor.
