Turkey remain top of Group H in the Euro 2020 qualification campaign after holding world champions France to a 1-1 draw at the Stade de France on Monday.
Everton striker Cenk Tosun did not start for the Crescent-Stars despite scoring three goals in his last two games for the national team.
Turkey adopted a defensive setup with head coach Senol Gunes opting for Burak Yilmaz as the lone striker due his pace for counter-attacks.
Gunes threw caution to the wind after Olivier Giroud put France ahead in the second-half bringing on Tosun as a second striker.
Soon after Turkey equalised with a header from defender Kaan Ayhan.
Tosun took to Instagram afterward posting a photograph of himself and teammates doing a soldier salute in support of Turkish troops.
The Everton forward also posted the following message in English: ‘We’re not done yet ‼️’
