Fenerbahce 1 – 0 Besiktas – The Eagles lose yet another derby
[divider] Fenerbahce have returned to the title race following a 1-0 victory over rivals Besiktas in the Istanbul derby.The Yellow Canaries remain in third place with 53 points, two points behind league leaders Galatasaray and a point behind Besiktas.
Emmanuel Emenike caused controversy when he walked off after being booed by his own fans.
Emenike has come under fire from sections of the Turkish press and fans for his goal record this season.
Moussa Sow replaced the injured Raul Meireles in the first half and Pierre Webo was brought on for Emenike at half-time.
The scores remained level until the 90th minutes when Sow scored a well timed volley.
Fenerbahce travel to Caykur Rizespor in the next round of games while Besiktas take on Istabul Basaksehir.
