Liverpool legend Jon Aldridge has slammed the Reds former central-midfielder Emre Can during an interview with the Liverpool Echo.
Can left Liverpool on a free transfer after failing to agree terms on a contract back in 2018.
The Germany international of Turkish origin subsequently joined Juventus but quickly fell down the pecking order at the Turin based club.

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri left Can out of his UEFA Champions League squad this season prompting the 26-year-old to move on in January.
Can joined Borussia Dortmund on loan last month, the Bundesliga giants have the option of signing him at the end of the season.
According to Aldridge, Can was ‘punching above his weight at Liverpool and issued a warning to players looking to leave the Merseyside Reds.
“To be honest I always felt he was punching above his weight at Liverpool but he thought he could do better by moving on and it hasn’t worked out for him at Juventus,” Aldridge stated.
“He scored a fine goal on his debut for Borussia Dortmund at the weekend but the fact he’s had to go back to Germany to try and salvage his career says a lot and is a warning to others that you walk away from Liverpool at your peril.”
Liverpool are back in action this weekend when they take on relegation battlers Norwich City.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will also have one eye on their UEFA Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid next week.
