Besiktas have set their sights on Chelsea’s out-of-favour goalkeeper Petr Cech according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

The report states that Besiktas president Fikret Orman has close ties with Chelsea and will hold talks with the London based club before the end of the season.

Besiktas are in the market for a new goalkeeper following high profile mistakes from their current number one, Tolga Zengin.

Cech has struggled for playing time this season after falling down the pecking order behind Thibaut Courtois but still has one year left on his contract.

Beşiktaş are interested in Cech according football agent Mithat Hali who has ties to Sport Invest International, the company which represent the Chelsea keeper.

“If Cech does become available Beşiktaş would become a potential destination for Beşiktaş and I would support such a move.” Halis told Radyospor.

The Black Eagles are second in the Süper Lig just one points behind league leaders Galatasaray going into the international break. Only two points separates Galatasaray and third placed Fenerbahçe in the league.

European giants Real Madrid and a number of other clubs have also been linked with Cech.
