Orman – 'Besiktas winning the league under these circumstances would be a miracle'

Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman admitted that winning the league under the current circumstances would be a miracle.

Orman underlined that Beşiktaş have not played a single away game all season and that they have also played more matches than any other Süper Lig side.

“Winning the league after what we have been through would be a miracle, we have not played at home all season and have had the heaviest fixture run,” Orman said in an interview with Beşiktaş Magazine.

Beşiktaş have played at temporary stadiums in Istanbul, Ankara and Konya due to the Inönü stadium being rebuilt.

The Inönü stadium will be rebranded the Vodafone Arena and expanded into a 41,903 seater venue.

The Istanbul giants reached the Europa League Last 16 beating Tottenham and Liverpool along the way but were eventually knocked out by Club Brugge.

The Black Eagles are currently second in the league just one point behind league leaders Galatasaray.

Beşiktaş will take on cross city rivals Başakşehir next in the league.
