Real Madrid’s English star Jude Bellingham has been awarded the Golden Boy, given to the world’s best young player.
Bellingham has made an impressive start to his Real Madrid career and when asked which players he thinks can win the Golden Boy award in the future he nominated his teammate Arda Guler.
The England international described Guler as being a ‘phenomenon’ and that he is amazing in training.
“Aside from those born in 2003, I can name three players. Arda Guler, who has recovered from injuries that have prevented him from making his debut with Real Madrid. He is a phenomenon and we see it in training, we are all amazed by him. Then, my former Borussia Dortmund teammate Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and my brother Jobe, a striker, like our father,” he was quoted by the Mirror as saying.
Guler responded to Bellingham’s comments by describing his teammate as being a ‘genius’ on the pitch and a great person off it.
“A genius when playing on the ball but outside of football he is just as good, even better,” Guler was quoted as saying by Fotomac.
Bellingham, who joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund for a record fee at the beginning of the season, has already scored 14 goals, surpassing the likes of Ronaldo, Alfredo Di Stefano, and Pruden Sanchez.

His impressive form has earned him the Golden Boy award, given by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Bellingham is widely considered to be one of the most promising young players in the world, and his early performances at Real Madrid suggest that he has a bright future ahead of him.
Guler meanwhile, is another highly rated youngster at Real who joined from Fenerbahce this summer. He has yet to play due to injuries but he is close to making a return after recovering from his latest blow.
