Arda Guler will not be leaving Real Madrid in January despite reports in the Turkish media claiming otherwise, sources have told Turkish-Football.

The Sabah newspaper reported that Guler is set to leave Real and they know the destination; Villarreal.

A potential January loan move to Villarreal is swirling as a solution and the Spanish media have also been buzzing with reports of the Yellow Submarines’ interest in acquiring the youngster, with talks potentially starting as early as next month.

Güler’s arrival in Madrid sent shockwaves through Turkish football, but his pre-season was marred by a knee injury requiring surgery in the US. After missing valuable training time, he barely recovered before encountering another setback – a left back muscle tear.

Despite the latest reports that Guler is set for a loan move the reality is the attacking midfielder does not want to leave and neither does his club.

Real and manager Carlo Ancelotti have given their full backing to Guler who has recovered from injury and is now preparing to make his debut against Mallorca on 3 January.

This is not the first time Guler has been linked with a loan move but all previous reports were also rejected.

The 18-year-old will stay at Real until the end of the season and all loan offers will be rejected in January.
